from The Old, the New and the Deadly
Someone has been trying to kill Danny as a result of mistaken identity. Over breakfast, Brett takes the opportunity to relate to Danny the story of one of his ancestors who was in a similar situation during the French Revolution. Danny, having been suckered so many times before by Brett's stories is determined not to listen...

You know, I had an ancestor once who was mistaken for someone else
I got news for you, I don't want to hear about it
The Marquis of Castlehare
Oh really!
Are you going to finish your eggs?
No,no! Please eat it. It'll keep your mouth shut
No, this was ages ago - the time of the French Revolution
m-mmm! I don't want to hear about it
He and his wife were doing the grand European tour; and when they got here to Paris, the carriage was surrounded by a mob of angry, revolting peasants
(In spite of himself, Danny is becoming interested and starts back to the table)
You see my ancestor bore the most uncanny resemblance to Louis XVth and before they could deny the fact the,uh,mob dragged him off to the guillotine
Did that really happen?
Mm! Here... There he was with his head on the block, the blade poised to fall...
Right!
-Get up!- When his wife burst through the mob and explained the entire situation
She saved his life, right?
uh-uh. She couldn't speak French...She married again shortly afterwards
You do that to me every time...
...and I let him get away with it
